Bread Pudding = Love!

Okay… maybe not.  But I can see why people love it!  Strange that it actually always kinda sorta seemed revolting to me.  😦

Well, actually… depending on my mood, it still does.. but, we just won’t talk about it.  🙂

But yes!  I made two bread puddings within the past couple weeks.  Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding and Raisin-Studded Apple Bread Pudding.  🙂  What a mouthful (figuratively and literally)!

The idea of using old bread for bread pudding is gross.  So, I just toasted my bread.  I did not cube the bread for the Banana Bourbon Bread Pudding, which gave you very crisp crusts (which, I preferred more) and a very unique look.  Cubing the bread made for softer and more custard-y bread pudding with a nice sprinkling of almond slices on top and beautiful golden raisins inside the Raisin-Studded Apple Bread Pudding.

I think golden raisins are so cool.  Don’t get me wrong.  I love normal raisins too.  But when I saw these beautiful golden raisins at the Farmers Market.. I just had to get them!  I think I want to make Oatmeal Raisin Cookies with these and maybe even with some dried cranberries.  Don’t you think it would look soo pretty?!

Ah.  Yes.  more bread pudding in the future.  YES.
